I’ve been using Clean Isolate for about three years, even before the logo change, and it’s been my go-to protein supplement. Earlier this year (2025), I purchased a new jar and noticed something concerning.
On all Clean Isolate products before 2025, the scoop was 80cc, which, when weighed, came out to 32g—matching the nutrition facts label. However, the new jar I just purchased (still 840g total weight) now includes a 94cc scoop, measuring about 40g per serving. This means users are now taking in more than the stated serving size, which not only throws off nutritional accuracy but also causes the product to run out faster.
It’s disappointing to see this change, especially from a local brand I’ve supported and trusted for years. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as transparency and consistency are key for loyal customers like myself.
Their BEC brand whey protein isolate has been creeping up in price for months now. First it was $49 now it's $65. Now the scoop inside is bigger, yet the amount of protein per serving is the same. So you now require more powder to get the same amount of protein, meaning less bang for your buck. This is shrinkflation folks.
Raising the price was honest. Changing the scoop and diluting the protein with more powder (I'm guessing more guar gum) was dishonest!
Hello Jason - I can understand your intial frustration, Isolates are the most volitile pricing structure in the nutrition industry today. Scoop sizes/shapes are directly related to manufacteuring & availability at time of batch production. Rest assured, absolutely nothing has changed with our formula or our product - as we are Third-Party Tested to ensure our high credibility in the nutrition industry. You should see the price come down with not only our brand, but all brands in the near future
The unflavoured Clean isolate was my go to protein powder for ever, but the last two times I’ve purchased it, the consistency has not been the same. What once used to mix into my yogurt/liquids so smoothly is now gritty, chalky and very unpleasant to consume.
Very disappointed and will be switching to another brand.
Instant stomach issues after consuming. Did not have the problem with a competitor Canadian company's brand of isolate.
And why is the scoop so huge now??? Fillers?
I like it since it’s not so sugary but it is a bit more on the bland side. I have to throw in a banana or some powder peanut butter
