What is your role:

As a District Manager you will have an overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and performance of 8 fast-paced corporate stores. You will be responsible for staff training and development & monitoring and driving sales initiatives to each location while delivering an optimal customer and employee experience.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be able to self-organize with detail, work within budgets and collaborate with internal departments and vendors to drive growth in sales.

By actively visiting all locations and working with a team of general managers you will have ownership of the success and development of each of your locations while ensuring compliance with a food safe environment.

How do you contribute to Body Energy Club?

● Frequenting all corporate locations to provide support and capture information from the field

● Provide training for General Managers, Assistant Managers and Smoothie supervisors, and make sure employees follow company policies and regulations while holding teams accountable for performance.

● Motivate employees by praising Managers at the most profitable locations, giving rewards when possible, and approving promotions for outstanding employees.

● Complete performance evaluations for Managers and reviewing evaluations for all employees at locations they manage

● Answer questions from employees and making suggestions to improve productivity

● Meet with marketers, purchasers, and executives to help create sales strategies and find ways to penetrate new markets

● Meet with product vendors to develop strategies to increase sales

● Analyze sales statistics to maximize profitability through targets and promotions

● Strategize on upselling techniques for all positions from cash, smoothie bar, and floor

● Resolve complaints from customers

● Monitor and track store sales, competition targets, and marketing goals

● Develop cost saving initiatives across all stores to stay within budget

● Review product placement, merchandising, marketing components/signage, and promotional strategies to ensure alignment with brand direction and key product strategies to increase sales

● Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts, shrinkage, and theft

● Collaborate with HR on upcoming or pending vendor or internal training

● Oversee schedule costs and approvals for all corporate locations

● Develop and manage marketing campaigns to increase business to review current trends across categories to identify areas of business growth

What you bring to the team:

● Outstanding customer service skills while ensuring that standards are met

● Leadership experience overseeing district, multi locations or high- volume retail business.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make presentations and write reports

● Exceptional organization and time management skills to meet budgets and deadlines

● Strong capability to multi-task under pressure and obtain strong decision-making skills

● Proficiency with Microsoft suite and Google products with an ability to review and report sales data and trends

● A good understanding of the products or services the business sells and their industry

● Understanding of budgeting and basic math

● Knowledge of local laws and regulations that apply to the company

● Ability to motivate others to perform at optimal levels while building trust and leading by example to increase morale and staff retention

● Expert in both retail management and in-store systems, policies, and procedures

● Ability to work under moderate supervision and troubleshoot team’s questions/concerns

● Ability to manage internal stress along with stress of team members

● Commitment by attending all monthly management meetings

Minimum Job Requirements:

● Flexible schedule availability required for all applicants during business operations for 7 days a week from 6:00am – 11:00pm

● Full time hours for Managers can work 40+ hours a week

● Willing to work evenings and weekends and lead by example to support team members

● Maintain constant punctual attendance and contribute to positive team morale

● Must be able to come in under short notice (i.e., on call situations, employee relations) and willing to work occasional weekends and evenings. We expect you to lead by example.

● Driver’s license and owned vehicle is required


● Bachelor's degree in a field relating to retail management or equivalent experience

● 3 + years’ experience in a retail management environment

● Experience in the vitamin supplement industry an asset

● Hospitality industry experience also valued

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Base salary

CA$75,000/yr - CA$80,000/yr
